Forward-deployed engineers
Senior engineers inside your team, shipping the system you keep postponing.
One integration, internal tool or AI workflow, built in your tools and rituals. One to three months, then a clean handover.
- 1 to 3 monthsfixed term
- 1 systemdefined before we start
- Your toolsyour repo, your board, your standups
The situation
Your team is good. It is also full.
The integration with your billing system has been "next quarter" for a year. The internal tool your operations team needs keeps losing to customer features. Hiring for one project takes longer than the project. So the work waits, and the cost of waiting grows.
- 1 to 3months to a shipped systemScoped in writing before the first day.
- 0new hires to manageWe join your rituals and report to your lead.
- 100%of the code in your repositoriesReviewed, tested and documented as we go.

A straight answer
When forward-deployed engineers are the wrong hire.
You want open-ended extra hands
This is one system over a fixed term. For ongoing capacity, look at principal engineering.
Nobody inside will own it after
A system with no owner decays. Name one person before we start.
There is no defined system to ship
If the goal is still fuzzy, start with an audit or a Fractional CTO.
Investment
From $8k a month.
Terms of one to three months. You get a fixed monthly number after the call.

Questions
What leaders ask about embedding engineers.
What does "forward-deployed" mean?
Our engineers work inside your team, not from a separate agency queue. They join your standups, use your tools and ship into your repositories.
How do you work with our existing developers?
As teammates. Your engineers review our pull requests and we review theirs when asked. The goal is a system they understand and can own.
What access do you need, and how do you handle security?
Only what the system needs, granted by you and removed at the end. We sign your NDA and follow your security policies. Your data stays in your systems.
How long is a term?
One to three months, agreed in the scope. If the work runs over, we say so early and you decide.
What does the handover look like?
Documentation, a recorded walkthrough and paired sessions with the owner on your side. We stay reachable for a few weeks after.
What about time zones?
We are based in Virginia, on Eastern time. We agree a few hours of daily overlap with your team before we start.
Next step
Bring the system that keeps slipping.
Thirty minutes. You leave knowing what it would take to ship it, and whether we are the right team.
